The Transforming Power of Art

Tuesday, November 3, 2015 - 19:30 to 21:30

Renewal Arts Event

Can the Arts help us make sense of the world? In an attempt to address this fascinating and fundamental question, Renewal Arts is holding a Forum at Greencoat Place on Tuesday November 3.

A panel of speakers will include a young London poet, an academic specialising in music, spirituality and theology and a drama graduate who works with children with special needs.

Londoner Kwame Reed uses poetry to address challenging subjects in a new way. He is also an actor with Intermission Youth Theatre and recently took part in the Seeds of Inspiration conference at Caux.

June Boyce-Tillman runs the Winchester Centre for the Arts as Wellbeing and is also involved in a number of music, drama, dance and movement projects within the community, including hospitals and care homes.
A prominent academic, she is Professor of Applied Music at the University of Winchester and an ordained deacon of the Church of England.

Jodie Marshall is a drama graduate committed
to integrating challenged children into formal and alternative education. She has created the enterprise A Mind Apart which uses a mixture of performing arts to help young people deal with behavioural problems and improve learning skills.

The event starts at 7:30pmm. To reserve a seat telephone 020 7798 6000
